About KOYA Naturals Flax Seed Pillows
Heating and cooling pillows filled with flax seeds have been used for centuries in Europe to soothe muscle and stomach aches. Try it and you will be amazed how nice it feels on your neck, shoulder, stomach, or just to warm up your cold feet in bed. Flax seed filled pillows provide a gentle and moist heat, when heated in the microwave or oven. Since the flax seed is a flower seed and not a grain, it contains about thirty percent oil, which helps to retain the heat and ensures a slow release of the stored heat.
The heated flax seed pillow is being used on a stiff neck, hurting joints, a stomach ache, cold feet, or in general to warm up a bed before retiring. It is also being used to treat menstrual cramps by applying the warm pillow to the lower abdomen. A great way to utilize your flax seed pillow is to use it to softly massage your body with the heated pillow.
Your flax seed pillow can be reused again and again. Heated or cooled these unique pillows will bring you and your loved ones relaxation and comfort for years.
Heating the Pillow in a Microwave
Ensure that the microwave is clean and free of oil or food residue. Distribute the seed filling evenly within the pillow. Arrange the pillow in the middle of the turning table, ensuring that it doesn’t touch the sides of the microwave, does not get pinched in the door, or otherwise interferes with the microwave’s proper operation.
Always start with the lowest wattage setting of your microwave oven and heat for ½ minute. Take the pillow out, shake the content and check the temperature. Distribute the filling evenly within the pillow and repeat these steps until the pillow is hot to the touch, but make sure not to overheat it.
Clean the pillow only with a damp cloth. Do not get your flax seed pillow wet. Fabric: Polyester Velvet. Filling: Flax seed, dried lavender for pillows with lavender.
KOYA Naturals was founded and is owned by a mother of five after raising her children in Germany and in the USA. Having used those phenomenally soothing pillows on all of her kids for the little tummy and muscle pain, for the cold winter nights to warm the bed, and to treat Dad's occasional neck and shoulder pain was the inspiration to offer a line of high quality natural heating pillows to families in the United States.
